Last summer, Illinois became the 20th state to legalize medical marijuana . Now, municipalities including Plainfield are setting rules as to how and where the substance can be cultivated and sold. On Monday, village staff will look to trustees for guidance on possible amendments to Plainfield's zoning code to incorporate cannabis cultivation centers and cannabis dispensary operations. I for one would not only vote for a dispensary for Medical Marijuana in Plainfield, I would also vote for the complete legalization of said marijuana everywhere. Alcohol is a much more destructive drug, but it is owned and operated by large distributorships who are politically connected. Not everyone can make and bottle alcohol, but pot, you betcha.

I just think it should regulated and the stores placed away from residential areas. Please do not feed me the non sense talking points about addiction. I know too many people that used it or use it, to believed in the BS that this is not addictive.
