1. Why can train harder in ketosis? Two reasons! I will start with the first - prominent lactate threshold! This is because less laktatmetabolism (lactate is the conjugated base of lactic acid) As the name suggests, may be a local acidification as a result of cellular lactate and hydrogen ions are pumped out. Hydrogen monte williams ions because they are an important currency in the electron transport chain, and is used by the mitochondria to produce ATP (the body's energy.) The pH then drops (due to H +) and oxygen is not enough (to mitochondria work for dear life), making energy must be manufactured monte williams in any other way, namely through glycolysis and that is where lactate (lactic acid) stands for ATP production. It's not as complicated as they sound!
So, it's not entirely monte williams clear what role the lactic acid actually have in your body. In athletes seem to be able to do a lot of other stuff than creating that burning, uncomfortable feeling and it can also be an important intermediate for muscle recovery [1]
Why do you get less laktatmetabolism? Well to the amount of available oxygen increases, it will not be as rapid oxygen depletion in the muscles! In addition, monte williams fat burning increased, which makes the lactate did not have time to accumulate! monte williams
This brings us to reason 2! The amount of available oxygen increases, what an incredible difference it makes - especially in an untrained person! It can make the difference between not be able to run 200 meters, to be able to run 3 kilometers in a dash! This is because, less CO2 (carbon dioxide) need to be manufactured monte williams per calorie burned! Normally the respiratory quotient is 1, then the CO2 / O2 = 1. But at lågkolhydratätaren it may be CO 2 / O 2 = 0.75 or even lower! [2] This is something monte williams that in any case I notice right away, really I am quite disposed to run - but in ketosis I become like a machine!

Thanks for a Uberbra article series !! Can not really disagree on that one becomes a machine. It feels unreal. Drove hard yesterday without lactic acid and after 20 minutes I had such a sick energy so I had to pull up the pace considerably. Have pre-dried with about 20 minutes running. I drove fast pace for about 10 minutes and despite some runner's knee and hip sensations could not stop !! Had such a sick energy. Ketoadapted. Thanks continued for A readable blog. And get this now and then maybe you do not buy Volek & Phinney.
And for me this is wishful thinking, which bothered almost half against the LCHF ... After 3 months, ought body got used to? Have been training all the time but had to fight sick to cope and now runs five kilometers ist for ordinary mile. Strength training is also a struggle, has been hard to come forth. Right now compelled to total rest for two weeks due to inflammation in a muskelfälste, but it's not LCHF related anyway, and afraid to lose motivation altogether because energy is really missing. Thoughts, ideas, tips?
INTERESTING !! I really monte williams believe in detdär with prominent lactate threshold! When I run fast running / racing, monte williams then as soon as I have the energy for a longer distance, so I have sky-high pulse! I work so hard so that the muscles need oxygen, the heart beats faster, and it is sufficient to oxygenate the muscles !!! -> No lactic!
very interesting article series, peppery spirit. and I thank and bucks for a super inspiring blog. Continue Keep up the good work
Drinking coffee with about 25 gr coconut butter and 1 egg for breakfast plus frökex with butter and laxröra, made with mayonnaise. Lunch on weekdays usually gets omelette with cheese. For dinner, always generously with sauce and / or coleslaw with mayonnaise / broccolimos with butter and so on. Might as well not sure where I should get more fat. Sometimes becomes monte williams a coconut coffee to, if I feel hungry, or perhaps a frökex with laxröra. Taking vitamin D, omega-3 and magnesium daily.
Coffee is something new in my life and I have not been able me to test with butter yet, hence the egg ... A little funny that suddenly I drink coffee every day, my stomach rejoices not just, and it is not the tastiest I know but the fact is that I look forward to my LCHF breakfast as very as I looked monte williams forward to my carbohydrate breakfasts. It's the quality of life for me, to have a good breakfast to look forward to
