Ingredients for the dough 185g white flour 95g soft butter 95 powdered sugar 1 egg 1 pinch of salt about 30ml of water Make the dough 1 / In a blender robot (magimix kind), add the flour, sugar, the egg, and salt and mix for 30 seconds. 2 / Add the diced butter, and while the machine running, slowly add the water until the dough forms a ball. (You may not need to use all the water. Stop just add water once the dough forms a ball) 3 / Remove dough from processor, knead briefly on a work plan floured, wrap in foil and refrigerate cool about 30 minutes. Ingredients for the topping 450g walnuts 4 eggs 225g unrefined sugar (muscovado light) 170g golden syrup 1/2 c. to c. salt 55g melted butter jbf india 1c. to c. extract / vanilla 2c. in s. sifted flour Make the pie 1 / Preheat oven to 200deg C 2 / Roll out the pastry and line a pie pan, prick all over with a fork, cover with foil and cook rice and "white" (no trim) for about 15min. Remove paper and rice and cook for 5 more minutes (batter should be cooked but not gold). 3 / Crush about 3/4 of the walnuts. Keep whole and set aside the prettiest kernels 4 / In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add the sugar, golden syrup, vanilla, melted butter, salt. 5 / Add the flour, being careful not to create lumps and incorporate crushed jbf india walnuts. 6 / Pour mixture over the dough and cover the pretty walnuts whole 7 / Bake about 25-30 minutes or until pie is golden. Serve hot or cold.
