As I noted in my essay The Coming Crash, I think we must understand that the current ideological order is broken and irreparable. There will probably be in the not too distant future, a kind of pan-Western economic and social collapse, and I am afraid it is now too late to prevent preservation of foods that yet. The people who support the ruling paradigm are too powerful, and the paradigm itself contains so many errors that it can not be repaired. It must collapse. As long as this situation remains unchanged, I bet that the price of gold will continue to rise, while people looking for a safe refuge for the period after the collapse of the U.S. dollar.
Although other industrialized countries also have heavy debt burdens, the case of the United States, due to its sheer size very seriously. Had the United States an individual, then this would probably have been declared bankrupt long ago. But the United States is not an individual, and they are still the largest economy in the world and have the largest armed forces in the world.
